The world officially has a brand new first luxury brand.
The Lyst Index 2024 Q3 report on Wednesday revealed that Balenciaga is now the most popular clothing company in the world. The Parisian label has risen to the top following a string of high-profile headlines, with the release of its new album Donda keeping it at the top of world entertainment headlines.
In September, Kim Kardashian turned heads when she wore a polarizing all-black outfit on the red carpet at the Met Gala.

But Balenciaga‘s creative director Demna Gvasalia didn’t stop there. Last month, the brand entered the metaverse by launching a variety of digital products for Fortnite players, from accessories to clothing. During Paris Fashion Week, the brand presented a special episode of The Simpsons during the show and dressed the cast of the popular show in a music video for the collection.

Gucci was previously at the top of the list but is now in second place. There’s no reason to panic, though: the Florentine house is said to have generated 86% of its turnover in the second quarter, and the pressure from the launch of the car from the house of Gucci, starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, is under pressure. Dior took third place following the opening of the new Christian Dior: The Designer’s Dream exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. Meanwhile, Prada and Louis Vuitton ranked fourth and fifth on the list.
Lyst Guide lists the best fashion brands and products of each season and year. According to the World Trade Center, more than 150 million people use the platform each year to search and purchase products from nearly 17,000 brands. The formula behind the Lyst Index uses consumer behavior, including conversion rates and sales, to create a listing, according to the retailer. The platform also includes Google search data as well as chat and social media engagement metrics over a-month period………..
