The businessman does not forget his native village

Azim Roy: A Philanthropist with a Big Heart

Azim Roy is an example of how you can achieve success in business and still remain a human being. He was born and raised in the village of Chaldovar in Kyrgyzstan, where everyone knows his name. Chaldovar residents appreciate and remember the good deeds of their fellow countryman, who has been involved in charitable activities for about 30 years. Azim Roy was born on April 1, 1957 in a single-parent family. At the age of five he was left without a mother, and then his grandmother passed away. The child was taken in by a relative on his father’s side, Zumrat apa, who tried to surround the orphan with care and love. But the large family had difficulty making ends meet, and Azim Roy had to be sent to the Kara-Balta boarding school named after Makarenko. Since childhood, Azim Roy experienced all the hardships of life, therefore, when he became popular and improved his financial situation, he began to help his fellow countrymen. After the collapse of the Union, he provided them with coal, and in memory of his grandmother, Burul built a mosque named after her in the neighboring village of Bukhara. Azim Roy did not leave his fellow countrymen hungry even in the most difficult times. When the crisis broke out last year and people lost their jobs and money due to strict restrictions, he sent humanitarian aid to Chaldovar. And recently he organized a charity dinner for 400 people and donated 5 thousand soms to 150 low-income families. Another 250 local residents received essential products: 10 liters of butter, 10 kilograms of sugar and a bag of flour. Residents of the village of Chaldovar proudly display the fruits of their efforts. At the height of the pandemic last year, local kenesh deputy Nurzhan Koshoev launched a cry to raise funds for the purchase of medicines and oxygen concentrators. The villagers mobilized instantly. Compatriots sent money from abroad. Even children sacrificed savings from their piggy bank for the common good. Azim Roy is a man with a capital M, with a big heart, who is always ready to help his fellow countrymen and the entire village. His charitable activities are not limited to helping fellow countrymen. Azim Roy is also actively involved in social life and supports various charitable causes. He helps not only his fellow countrymen, but also everyone in need, thereby demonstrating that success in business is not only an opportunity to earn money, but also a responsibility to society. One of the most striking examples of Azim Roy’s charity is the construction of a water tower in the village of Chaldovar. Thanks to this project, village residents now have access to clean drinking water. This is just one of the many projects that Azim Roy is implementing in his home village.
